From the Golden State Comes the Golden Pizza

The Story

Originally from Pakistan, Tasawar started Magoo’s California Pizza in 2005 at this Indianapolis location, and in 2016 established an Avon location which he still runs with the help of his hardworking family.

All the large variety of meat options that Magoo’s California Pizza serves is halal, including the pizza toppings beef bacon, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, and grilled chicken. Halal chicken wings are also served.

Customers may also pray in a prayer area in the lobby (picture in the gallery on this page).

Tasawar and his family originally came from Pakistan and raised his children in California before coming to the Indianapolis area. His favorite character growing up was Mr. Magoo, which served as the inspiration behind the name of his family’s restaurant business.
