Modefa is a family-owned and operated business that was founded by Tara and her husband Ilyas in 2011 when they noticed a gap in the modest clothing market for American Muslims, especially women. Beginning as a home-based business, Modefa grew quickly as an online presence, and now also boasts a beautiful storefront in the DFW area. Specializing in high-quality, Turkish-made products, Modefa is the top prayer rug brand online and also offers modest clothing for men, women, and children, hijabs, Islamic decor, gifts and more. A portion of Modefa’s profits is donated to charity.

Tara is an American convert to Islam who married Ilyas from Turkey. They now have two children and source high-quality Turkish goods to the States for the benefit of American Muslims.
