Bay County Islamic Society

3312 Token Rd, Panama City, FL 32405

The Story

The Bay County Islamic Society (BCIS) was founded in the 1990s by a small group of Muslims in the Panama City area. BCIS is now a fast-growing community and the only mosque in the surrounding area. After the mosque was almost entirely destroyed by Hurricane Michael in 2018, the community rallied and rebuilt their masjid, which opened its doors in 2023. BCIS has a diverse community and offers many classes and halaqas for adults and children alike, including a hifdh program, a Sunday school, and a weekly family night. Panama City Advanced School is next door and offers a K-12 private Islamic education (visit the school website here).
