The Story
The original Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was opened in 1941 by World War I veteran Travis Dickey in Dallas, Texas. Over time the chain has expanded out of Texas and into 866 locations in 44 states and recently even internationally. This particular franchise is owned by Saleh, who sources dhabiha halal chicken (and can source other dhabiha meats as well for catering orders).
